Academy of Digital Sciences at UNE

In 2015, visionary University of New England president Danielle Ripich invited us to bring the Project>Login Curiosity to Career and Leadership Maine Sparks research to UNE and develop professional learning programs focused on digital career competencies — for UNE undergraduates, alumni, and Maine adults.

The Academy of Digital Sciences pilot program launched in January 2017 and wrapped in January 2018. UNE granted permission to share curriculum and other program materials publicly with a Creative Commons license.

The Maine Community College Digital Badging Initiative, the University of Maine at Augusta/University College Computer Information Systems program, and the Thomas College Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation now, or will soon, focus on the constituencies served by the UNE Academy of Digital Sciences including TechHire Maine participants, providing accelerated competency-oriented learning opportunities for all ages.
